Instructor Training FAQs
Running a ChiChi FIT classes does require a lot of energy, so you do need to be able to dance solidly for at least 45 minutes. However rehearsing for your classes will soon have you high-kicking and flicking effortlessly.
Live Training: clothing you can dance in, a water bottle and some food, although shops are nearby.
Live Online Training: just you, a good internet connection and Jazz Hands at the ready!
Every ChiChi FIT routine is carefully choreographed from beginning to end to ensure it embodies the theatrical dance style from the show it has been taken, the often complex rhythm and timing of show-tunes, and the perfect balance between dance and fitness. You will have access to routines via the membership portal where you can learn and copy the routine along with written instructions of every step, a training on how to implement the routine in your class, and the mp3.
Yes, a participant must be 18 years or older to attend any ChiChi FIT Instructor Training.
The ChiChi FIT training module is considered a specialty certificate, just like Pilates or Yoga. Depending on your country or the fitness facility in which you plan to teach, you may need a general group exercise certificate. Be sure to check with your government or local guidelines to see what the requirements are for you to teach. Your ChiChi FIT certificate in most cases should be sufficient.
After completing your Instructor Training, you can begin teaching whenever you feel ready. Instructors act as independent contractors, giving you the freedom to set your own hours, schedule, prices and terms etc at any facility you choose. Before teaching your first class, you will need to allow time to practice on your own to become confident with the choreography of routines, the music and the lyrics.
No, however it helps if you have a passion for fitness, dance and musical shows, and/or if you have previous experience in teaching group exercise classes.
